Edward E. Baker, D.D.S. a native of the Caldwell area, has been in private dental practice since 1976. He graduated from Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania, and was signed by the New York Giants to play quarterback in 1970. He spent four years in the NFL, playing also for the Houston Oilers and the New York Jets.
He attended the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry, graduating second in his class. Honors he received while in dental school included membership in Omicron Kappa Upsilon (the dental school equivalent of Phi Beta Kappa), membership in the Richard Doggett Dean Honorary Odontological Society, and The Mosby Book Award.
Upon graduation from dental school, Dr. Baker was on of two dentists selected from a pool of 120 applicants for a coveted one-year residency program at John F. Kennedy Medical Center in Edison, New Jersey, where he received training anesthesia, pathology and surgery.
Dr. Baker maintains current memberships in the following professional associations: American Dental Association, New Jersey State Dental Association, Essex County Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and Academy of Laser Dentistry.
Dr. Baker has been married for 38 years to his beloved wife Connie, with three beautiful daughters and three adorable grandchildren.
An avid fly fisherman, Dr. Baker has traveled to some of the remote wilderness areas of North America to pursue his hobby. In addition to fishing, he enjoys other outdoor sports and working out at the local YMCA.
Richard A. Zym, D.M.D., graduated from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 1991 after earning a B.S. in Biology at William Paterson College.
Before joining Dr. Baker's practice in 1993, Dr. Zym was with the Waterbury Hospital Medical Health Center in Waterbury, Connecticut, where he provided comprehensive dental care and emergency treatment.
Dr. Zym is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, Academy of General Dentistry and the American Society of Dentistry for Children.
Like Dr. Baker, Dr. Zym is an expert in cosmetic dentistry. His area of specialization within the practice is dentures.
Dr. Zym is a native of Totowa, New Jersey and enjoys mountain biking when the weather is warm and skiing in the winter. |
